we woke up early on saturday to drive to chicopee, ma to visit john barrett's shop: letterpress things. we spent the day exploring his warehouse FULL of letterpress goods and found lots of amazing things to bring back to our studio. talking with john always feels like a crash course in printing - well worth the 9 hours spent driving in one day.
I need this. I have only small sizes of families. I need BIG letters!

i had no idea about this place! now that we live in boston, we make a weekend trip of it. too bad their holiday workshops are already booked, though i am not surprised!

oh my! I'm drooling! I think there's more letterpress bits and bobs here in a few pics than there is in the whole of my aussie homeland!
