when i get obsessed, i get it bad... lately, i'm completely inspired by jill and alethea of studio choo and their new shop partnership with magpie & rie and the cloak and cabinet society called the prairie collective. if we lived in sf, i'd have to get a part time job just to support my addiction to their amazing arrangements. don't miss their belated opening party this thursday night. if you live in sf, order yourself some flowers, you deserve it!
we had one day to relax and enjoy san francisco before returning to philadelphia. after an amazing suggestion from jeannette, i just knew that i had to take stephen to see the giant camera obscura. built in 1946, you can walk into the camera and see rotating panoramic views of the beach on a 6' parabolic table. naturally, stephen wants to build our own camera obscura now.
when derek found out we were going to see the giant camera, he mentioned the sutro bath ruins were near by and we should visit them too...
built in 1896, the surtro baths were created specifically to bridge economic classes through the use of swimming uniforms, low admission costs and accessibility by rail road. the 3 acre indoor facility became the home to may attractions including a travel museum before being turned into an ice skating rink. in 1966 everything burned to the ground and what's left is the footprint of the pools.

not only did we meet lots of amazing new people, but we also had the chance to catch up with two of our oldest and dearest friends, geof & nemo. (thanks geof for sending this photo).
not a moment too soon and the show is finally set. we have to say thank you to derek for helping us coordinate a very last minute UPS delivery and picking up our vinyl, lauren for helping us package and label all 100 ties and victoria for letting us borrow her amazing vintage rug.
