we had one day to relax and enjoy san francisco before returning to philadelphia. after an amazing suggestion from jeannette, i just knew that i had to take stephen to see the giant camera obscura. built in 1946, you can walk into the camera and see rotating panoramic views of the beach on a 6' parabolic table. naturally, stephen wants to build our own camera obscura now.
Wow! I have never heard of this. Very cool I want to go check it out next time I am in SF. Thank you for sharing!

Where IS this? I wish I'd have known about it a couple weeks ago when I was in San Fran! Bummer.

I wish it was nearer to us so we could visit. What a great place. My boys would love it.

I loved this, it'd be great to visit that place sometime, but well.. it's a bit (just a bit, lets say some thousands of kms) far from where I am...
Thanx for sharing this amazing thing!
