recently, we had the chance to buy vintage eames chairs for $30 and we knew we would do just about anything to get them... including a 20 hour drive to pick them up and bring them home. this weekend we're on our way to elkhart, indiana where we will be rescuing 12 fiberglass shell chairs (yellow, gray and tan) that have been waiting for us in a library since the 1960's.
Beautiful chairs. What have you done with all of them? I'd be interested in Some

so fun that you found them! when I bought ours I discovered that a few of them needed "help," and digging around online I found the following sites that suggest some repair guidance should you find that you need it:

I found some great fiberglass chairs with leather seat pads at the flea market in old city last year... plus my bf found a herman miller original with leather seat AND back pads! Would LOVE to obtain more... Do you know if they will have more to sell later?
