we can hardly believe it... this weekend we brought home our new chandler & price pilot press! we named her "henrietta pussycat" (which will go perfect with the name of our future vandercook - "x the owl"). for shauna, it's like seeing an old friend since she spent six years studying printmaking and for stephen, it's a brand new chance to figure out how everything works.
we have to say a giant thank you to dan of the arm nyc who sold us henrietta. after a few weeks of emails, he welcomed us to his shop in brooklyn for a crash course on the press, and spent the entire afternoon showing us how to use and care for it properly.
I love your blog and style!

The love of letterpress strikes hard and deep. I took a workshop on a tabletop, moved onto a Vandercook, and now dream of owning my own. In the meantime, I support the local book arts places.

thanks for posting about this company! i had no idea there were open letterpress studios here and it would have been a great learning experience. unfortunately i am literally moving from NYC this week!
