I'm not going to lie. If I won this chair I would give it to myself. I just moved to Seattle all alone, I know no one and I have no furniture. A lovely orange chair would provide me with comfort and companionship of sorts, ha.

I'd give this chair to my Mom! She loves design and art, and has even dragged me to a chair museum in Milan. I'd use this chair as a tool for future furniture museum expeditions.
Mom: Come in! Look at all the lovely faucets.
Me: *Pulls out magic chair card* With the power of the red chair I will go shop for shoes while you look at furniture.
Mom: *Foiled*

Hello!
If I one this chair I would give it to my son who will celebrate his golden birthday (13) this September. He is obsessed with Eames!
He wants to be an architect when he grows up...and pours over every book he can find with Eames information. He has the Lounge Chair photo as his screen saver...this kid is hilarious! Between photography and modern design , I don't know what his future will bring...but it will definetly have style! :)
Thank You ~

I would give it to my good friend who is unemployed and trying hard to be self-employed (i.e. now working from home)...but she only has a stool to sit on. That or the floor. Sad! This chair would coordinate perfectly with her collection of framed retro posters! And, like me she's a sucker for design.

This chair definitely needs to go to a young creative by the name of NICOLE LAVELLE!
She is currently a student at Portland State University and is the head of AIGA PSU Student Group. Miss Lavelle works and plays too hard not to get this chair. I believe this chair would be an amazing gift to someone who seems to single handedly keep the fun and spirit of the PSU GD student group alive. (without asking for anything in return...)
She has a website: http://makingstuffanddoingthings.com
Check it out... Read her BIO...
How can you not give this chair to someone who says "she lives happily in a place called street thünder mansion???"
If your looking for a better reason... look here ----> NICOLE LAVELLE is pretty much a complete stranger. I have never met this talented lady. I only know of her from the PSU AIGA blog: http://gdpsu.typepad.com/aiga/
So why give the chair to someone you know... when you can give it to someone you don't know? Just like you guys are brilliantly doing... in giving the chair to someone you have never met.
Take it one step further and give it NICOLE LAVELLE. You have never met her... I have never met her... and she very much seems to deserve it!
Email... aindrisie@gmail.com for DELIVERY INFO.
P.S. TO ALL POSTERS... I am sure the people you wish to give this lovely chair to deserves it as much as anyone else. So, if I win... don't be sad... give that favorite person a call/hug/kiss and tell them you love them. It will bring them a happiness and confidence that this chair could never do.

I would give this chair as an opening invitation to any of my guests and clients to come have a seat at my place and to stay awhile. It would also be a gift to my living room to have a bit of spark since it equals both my work space and my lounge space.
Maybe this is selfish, but I'm lacking on anything more than a loveseat and a coffee table in my brown and cream colored studio apt. I need a place for friends, my mother, and my new clients to feel invited to come over and be entertained and entertain. I need the company of laughing, and gossip, and all ideas to inspire to. I need some muses in my life to feel complete..and quite frankly... you can't have a guest if you can't offer a place to for their tushes to have a rest.

I'd give it to my best friend. It would go marvelously in her vintage inspired house and I know she'd appreciate it!

I would definately give it to my sister-in-law, Amy. She is obsessed with everything modern and French. And I think the Eiffel legs are awesome and definately something she would love.

I would give this chair to my lovely wife, due to the fact that she currently does not have a chair for her desk and is holding out for just the right one! The modern style of this chair matches her perfectly, and I know that she would love to own an eames chair. We were both totally inspired by the video about Charles and Ray on Ted.com! The way that they have been able to design such amazing pieces and love each other is a great inspiration to the both of us!

I would give this chair to my quirky and creative husband who loves all things retro and modern. Thanks for the chance to win! Love your style Shauna and Stephen! <3

I would add this colorful, festive chair to my furniture-less living room. You see, both of my roomies recently moved out taking almost everything with them (every little bit helps, right?)!

I would love to give this chair to my hubby. He has the most awesome style and when I first met him he drove a bright orange VW bug that would match this chair perfectly... alas... the bug is gone, but this chair reminds me of the summer we drove around in his bug with the windows down. I would love to give it to him so he has a funky, fresh chair for his desk and so that we can sit in it together remembering where we first fell in love.

I would give this chair to my husband to put in our new house! The 40th birthday trip I planned for him never panned out because of complications with the builder of our house that ate up our trip money - it would be awesome to bring it full circle and give him a gift for the house.

If I was lucky enough to win this chair, I would give it to my sweet little mom. She recently took quite a tumble during her walk to work (at 4am!) She has worked at Target for 23 years and had to retire early because of her injury. She's been laid up at home since then and I think a bright little chair like this would lift her spirits. Bless her heart, her house looks like it was decorated by the Golden Girls (R.I.P. Bea), and I think a fabulous chair like this would help her feel like part of the modern world! Plus I love the thought of her sitting in this chair, watching Little House on the Prairie reruns while knitting baby blankets. Thanks for considering us :)
Xoxo, Kim
