...i've been saying this to stephen since we studied together at cranbrook (where ray kaiser & charles eames met in 1940). i can't imagine what we would be making if we had not been trained under their "form follows function" philosophy. it's not hard to find people who love their work but, for us, it's how they worked together that we admire most!
since our time at cranbrook, we coveted eames shell chairs... and now, we're lucky enough to have this one. that's why when we were approached with an opportunity to share one with you we said yes!!!

I love my husband like Ray loved Charles too! I begged him to get a Masters in Architecture while I was in design school. I have said a billion times that we "could have been the next Ray and Charles." He chose to go to medical school instead. I suppose with the ever present recession that was a good decision.
