thanks to becky and ashley, who had extra tickets... we were able to see ira glass this weekend. the show was focused on the structure he uses to create this american life rather than a live version of the show. it was even better than we could have imagined. his theory of the narrative is just as inspiring as his method of story telling.

I've been crushing on Ira for a while now (good lord, maybe 5 yrs??). He's our generation's answer to Alan Alda, who I used to have a crush on in high school (watching M*A*S*H reruns with my mom). I'll have to download those glasses. Smart!

YES! Two years ago Geoff and I went to see him in Buffalo and it was probably a similar lecture. I laughed SO HARD. I keep hoping he'll come back. I don't imagine he'll ever come to Canada, but he's worth the drive to the US.
